Man who produced video of soldier’s girlfriend has been extradited back the US

The man who made his way to the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list for tricking young women into doing pornographic films under false pretenses has been extradited from Spain to the United States.

Michael James Pratt, who was one of two men at the helm of the GirlsDoPorn production team, was extradited to San Diego after several years on the run.

The New Zealand native has been charged with sex trafficking offenses and money laundering.

According to the San Diego Tribune, Pratt arrived in the country on the same day his partner-in-crime, Matthew Wolfe, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role as business partner and cameraman.

Victims of the GirlsDoPorn scheme include a former Miss Teen Colorado winner and Selena Vargas, who became famous after cheating on her US Army boyfriend in the exact same clothes she wore to his graduation from basic training.

The victims claim they had been told that the movies would be sold privately and remain in private DVD collections outside of the US.

On filming day, they were given alcohol and marijuana, told to sign documents they were not given time to read, and held in the hotel rooms until they completed their “tasks.”

Pratt was known to threaten women with violence if they refused to do repeat performances, sending messages over text that insinuated he would kill them.

“It’s degrading, honestly, everybody seeming me in my most vulnerable state and not knowing the back story” one victim said last year.

In 2022, women featured in the videos were awarded $13 million in a civil trial. To put that into perspective, GirlsDoPorn only amassed about $17 million in revenue.

Others connected to the case, such as porn star Ruben Andre Garcia, enforcer Alexander B. Foster and cameraman Theodore Gyi, have received prison sentences as well.

Bookkeeper Valorie Moser also faces time behind bars.
