
A person has been shot after trying to bypass a security checkpoint at the Navy Medical Center in San Diego.
According to a Navy spokesperson, a driver was shot by a security guard after blowing through the checkpoint.
The vehicle was not fired upon until the guards caught up to the car and got them to stop.
When the driver got out, according to local news, there was some kind of argument that led to a struggle and a guard opening fire.
The suspect, identified as a man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after only shot once and expected to survive.
The shooting is under investigation.
