Police at a Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas reportedly shot and killed a man with a knife on Wednesday night.
The incident took place at around 10:22 at night, when the man, who was seeking psychiatric help, started to walk off.
Following him in an attempt to disarm him, the VA Police officers soon found themselves forced to open fire.
According to NBC DFW, the man died of his wounds after being rushed to the hospital. No officers were injured.
The Dallas Police Department Special Investigations Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident.
