Man claiming to be Special Forces threatens to kill police officers

A man claiming to be a retired Army Special Forces colonel was arrested by Oregon State Troopers on Monday.

Joseph Stetson, 54, told Oregon State Troopers and Harney County Sheriff’s deputies that he was a retired green beret and made multiple threats on the officer’s lives.

One of the Sheriff Deputies was able to capture the entire incident on his body camera.

“I will kill you sons of bit*hes…I have an M14 up in the hills up there…I’m going to kill all you son of b*tches,” said Stetson.

Stetson was pulled over by officers for suspicion of driving under the influence while on his way to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

Police said, he was in possession of a pellet gun and intended to serve as the Bundy brother’s bodyguard.

The Bundy brothers are ranchers who have been in a standoff with the Unites State Bureau of Land Management over unpaid cattle grazing feed on federally owned lands in Nevada.

Stetson faces charges of driving while under the influence and resisting arrest. He was booked into Harney County Jail.
