A video has surfaced of what appears to be a Syrian man planting a Syrian flag on a US military vehicle in his country, prompting US forces manning the vehicle to do…well, nothing.
The video, disseminated on Twitter by DRAl_Lawati, shows a man and two children approaching the vehicle, which is equipped with a US flag.
Braving the high winds that sweep across the area, the man takes a Syrian flag on a pole and places it in a gap on the hood of the US vehicle.
Triumphantly, the man outstretched his arms, and celebrated his “victory.”
US forces did nothing about it, but it is unknown if the vehicle was even occupied.
American troops -primarily special operations personnel- have been clashing with pro-Assad regime and Russian forces in the war-torn nation for some time, and their vehicles are frequently targeted with everything from rocks to small arms fire.
