Sergeant Kyle LeFlore -who at some point had been in the 1st Infantry Division, been stationed in Korea, served in the Iraq War and another two tours in Afghanistan- was murdered during a robbery in Omaha early on January 6.
Police say that have caught the man who was responsible for his murder.
27-year-old Larry Goynes was arrested and booking into the Douglas County Jail on Friday night on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder.
LeFlore was a staff sergeant in the Army who was visiting family in Omaha for the holidays when he was killed. LeFlore was fatally shot about 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Reign Lounge – a night club which was featuring an “Urban Professionals and Business Owners Networking Night Out” event that night.
His father, Kay LeFlore, says he believes his son was killed in a robbery.
