A Rhode Island resident is in hot water after he drove through a military checkpoint in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
According to the Associated Press, USAF Security Forces reported that a vehicle failed to stop at the Joint Base Cape Cod military facility, driving through the checkpoint before hitting a pole.
Massachusetts State Police arrested 21-year-old driver Harold Lamotte, who police say is facing additional charges due to being combative during the booking process.
Law enforcement is unsure why Lamotte rammed the gate, though they say there is no evidence that he poses a threat to national security.
Lamotte is being held on a $25,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, though it is unknown whether or not he retained a lawyer.
