Man arrested after Army vs. Navy debate leads to gunfire

Joshua Brown

An Oklahoma man was arrested for threatening someone’s life after an alcohol-fueled, Army vs. Navy debate. Police say Joshua Brown was arrested Monday night after he got into an argument with two brothers, while drinking at a home in Spencer.

Brown allegedly pointed a gun at one of the brothers. He was asked to leave, but later called the man and threatened to kill him, according to court documents.

KOCO reports that the victim and his brother were on their front porch a half-hour later, when “Brown popped out of the bushes wearing a “Jason” mask and holding a .40-caliber pistol in one hand and an AR-15 rifle in the other.”

When the victim pointed his gun at Brown, he agreed to leave the property. As he walked away though, Brown fired both guns in the air, sending one of the bullets flying into the victim’s home.

Brown is expected to be charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

It’s unclear whether any or all of these men are in the armed forces.  Oklahoma is home to several different military bases.
