Fort Bragg soldier killed during training but Army is remaining quiet

A US Army Soldier was killed during a training exercise at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, sources state.

Sgt. Joseph Zygarowski, a mechanic assigned to the 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary), was reportedly killed during a training exercise on the 19th of April.

Enlisting in 2018, Zygarowski spent most of his time at Kentucky’s Fort Campbell with the 101st Airborne Division before he was reassigned to the (Expeditionary) at Joint Base Langle-Eustis, Virginia.

“Sgt. Zygarowski was a model soldier, non-commissioned officer, and leader. His presence and expertise will be deeply missed by everyone in the team,” Capt. Jonah Crews, commander of 149th Seaport Operations Company, said in a statement.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sgt. Joseph Zygarowski,” said Col. Samuel Miller, commander of the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary). “He was an exceptional Soldier as part of our Resolute Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this tragic time.”

According to ABC11, the details behind Zygarowski’s death have not been made public.

Additionally, details of the training exercise Zygarowski was participating in have not been made available.
