A man whom the Army says has deserted his U.S. Army post has been detained by authorities in Florida.
Tyler Michael Allen, 20, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail late last month.
A spokesperson for the Army told the Palm Beach Post “his dates of service were until June 2018. Following his training, he served 28 days on active duty. He was a private and in the infantry.”
The Army would not state where he was stationed or provide any details of his desertion. However, he was detained in Florida under a hold for the U.S. Army Deserter Information Point in Kentucky.
Since his arrest, the jail booking has been deleted from the Palm Beach County Jail database and it is not known if he is still in custody.
Allen’s records show is previously lived in West Virginia but no records could be obtained to show how long he had been in Florida.
