GULF OF OMAN (Dec. 15, 2013) Capt. Sara Joyner, commander, Carrier Air Wing 3, of Hoopers Island, Md., pilots an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the “Swordsmen” of Strike Fighter Squadron 32, as it launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) for her last flight supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Harry S. Truman, flagship for the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, supporting theater security cooperation efforts and supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
