Three dutch commandos were shot in Indianapolis over the weekend, and one has succumbed to his wounds.
The Dutch Defense Ministry reported that the deceased was surrounded by friends and family at the time of his death on Sunday night.
The two surviving soldiers are reported to be recovering.
The three commandos were in Indianapolis’ entertainment district at 03:30 AM when shots rang out.
Police believe the commandos got into an altercation with unidentified locals prior to the incident.
According to NBC News, the Indiana National Guard said the foreign soldiers had been training at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, about 40 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
No arrests have been made.
