A Russian soldier, who was conscripted into service, is accused of beating his commanding officer to death on a military train.
The incident involved an unnamed staff sergeant targeting a captain and occurred last Friday in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia.
Details about what caused the staff sergeant to commit the murder are limited but he was allegedly intoxicated at the time.
The captain, who was also conscripted, was pronounced dead at the Misyash train station and remains unidentified.
The staff sergeant was charged with committing acts of violence against a commander during mobilization and faces 15 years in prison according to the New York Post.
