The daughter of a Vietnam and Korean War veteran was dumbfounded when she went to visit her father’s grave and discovered it missing.
Cynthia Pugh has been taking the same path to visit her father’s grave site in Hephzibah, GA for six years.
She told WFXG, “I looked around and I didn’t see him and I thought, ‘Well maybe I’m off’.’ So, I went down a little further like this, and no space,” Pugh said. “And then my daughter said, ‘Mom, here he is right here,’ and there he is. Leaned up against the tree, like he’s nobody.”
According to WFXG, Pugh’s dad was a Vietnam and Korean War vet who retired as a Staff Sergeant at Fort Bragg, NC and was buried with full military honors.
Pugh said she will be contacting the Fort Gordon casualty office to see what steps can be taken to intervene and find her dad.
