Creepy clown with baseball bat spotted on Florida Air Force base

The creepy clown craze has made its way to an Air Force base in Northwest Florida.

As of yesterday morning there have been four clown sightings in Okaloosa County with one of them at a school bus stop at Eglin Air Force base.

“Some fifth-grade students at Longwood Elementary say there was a clown in the woods near their bus stop this morning around Yaupon Court and White Oak Circle,” Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Michele Nicholson said.

The students told a teacher they saw the clown holding a baseball bat. eglin-air-force-base-clown-sighting

The Sherrif’s Office notified Eglin Air Force base’s security of the incident. Eglin Air Force Base spokeswoman Sharon Branick told NWFDailyNews, a search was conducted but no clowns were located.

We haven’t had any credible clown threats and the vast majority across the country are the work of pranksters,” Nicholson said. “But there have been people arrested in other places where threats were made, so obviously it would depend on the situation and be taken on a case by case basis.”

According to a Walton County deputy report about another clown sighting in the area, “Multiple people did comment on the (Facebook) post about using their second amendment right if the clown subject was to be trespassing on their property.”
