A young man- believed to be a US Navy sailor- lost his Go Pro camera along the Guadalupe River near Canyon Lake, in Texas. The person who found it has posted the contents of the GoPro online, in hopes of reuniting the man with his camera.
T.K. Archibald published the video to YouTube on August 11, saying he came across the GoPro in the river while fly fishing a week earlier.
He added: “…as a fun experiment, let’s see how we are all connected. If anyone recognizes any of the people in this video, then I think we can make this happen.”
After more people started viewing it online, many were in agreement the gentleman who lost the GoPro had to be in the military -most likely the Navy or Air Force.
One person writes on Reddit: “From the locations, I’m almost positive this guy is a sailor… possibly stationed in Texas or home on leave.” Another writes: “He’s definitely Navy.”
Others point out the similar haircuts of the young man’s “crew” in the video. They travel quite extensively and one of the locations seen on the recording is Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The GoPro owner also goes on a desert sand dune tour run by Planet tours and safaris in Abu Dhabi, UAE. On the Planet Tours website, it’s promoted as a five hour “Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner.” One reddit user claims he has been on this same tour while visting Abu Dhabi in the U.S. Navy.
It is likely that the unidentified man is stationed at one of the Naval bases in nearby Corpus Christi, Texas.
