Aug. 30—It appeared President Biden glanced at his watch during a solemn ceremony for U.S. Marines killed in the Kabul terror attack.

Or was he just straightening out his sleeve?

The moment has gone viral as Biden, again, faces heat for how he’s handling his public-facing duties. It’s also showing in the polls, with the president’s approval rating now at 47.4%, according to a Real Clear Politics average.

Here are two photos of Sunday’s “dignified transfer” ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware — one by the Associated Press and the other from Getty Images.

The cutlines are verbatim and here’s a clip of the moment Biden appears to look at his watch.

This comes just days after Biden bowed his head while being questioned about the deaths of the 13 members of the military dispatched to Kabul to help with the evacuations. Some called it a “defining” image — but could Sunday’s prove even more?

Biden also checked the time during a debate with former President Donald Trump. But that was a different time, a different setting.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a onetime GOP candidate for president, called Biden’s apparent slip “shocking.”

Here is the full AP story on the remains of 13 U.S. troops killed in the Kabul suicide bombing who were flown home Sunday. Marine Sgt. Johanny Rosario of Lawrence was among those killed.
