Team 35 placed 17th out of 51 competing teams that took part in the 2014 Best Ranger competition. Best Ranger dates back to 1982 and was limited to Ranger qualified instructors serving in the Army Ranger Department. The competition has since grown to allow Ranger qualified Soldiers in all U.S. Army units to compete.The 2014 competition had four Army National Guard teams consisting of Soldiers from Colorado, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Wisconsin taking part in the event.
