Yesterday, physical training was cancelled across Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington due to a bear attack. All military personnel were instructed to stay away from the Engineer Bluff training area Thursday afternoon.
It was reported that a civilian employee was attacked by a black bear while on the trails of the bluff. He was taken to the Madigan Army Medical Center where he’s receiving treatment for non-life threating injuries.
According to Fox 13, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Washington State Department of Natural Resources will try to trap the bear and remove it from Engineer Bluff.
