AWOL soldier attacks police officers after being questioned at airport

An AWOL US Army soldier was found in the Orlando airport and attempted to escape by pretending he only spoke French.

King repeated “le French” when he was asked if he spoke English, but police found military identification in his wallet after a quick search, according to Click Orlando.

Running his information, they found that Military Police in Georgia were looking for him, and that he had been reported AWOL from Fort Stewart.

When officers, asked King to sit on the curb, King suddenly “learned” English and said, “make me.”

King then swung on police after they tried to move him, striking one officer several times. He was eventually tased and detained but one of the officers suffered a fractured finger during the altercation.

King has been charged with aggravated battery on an officer, attempted aggravated battery on an officer and resisting arrest with violence.
