Army recruiter arrested for sex with minor after breaking up with an 18-year-old

Buckeye, Arizona – An Army recruiter assigned to an Arizona high school has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a minor.

Joseph Humberto Cooper-Breceda oversees the Army recruiting program at Verrado high school and the minor was an applicant in the program.

He faces three counts of felony sexual conduct with a minor.

A police probable-cause statement says he admitted to police that he had a sexual relationship with the girl after he broke up with an 18-year-old girl.

He also told police he was aware the victim was 17 years old, according to CBS5.  The 18-year-old in which he had a prior relationship was a parting of his “future soldier” program as well.

He was due back on Thursday.
