The Army National Guard is hard at work on the US Border, helping Customs and Border Protection agents track down illegal aliens in unforgiving terrain.
Video footage shows a UH-60 Blackhawk of the Arizona National Guard performing air cover and surveillance earlier last week, supporting Border Patrol agents on the ground- who are forced to move through the arid landscape on foot.
Spotting movement, the helicopters coordinated with ground units, who moved in on camouflage-wearing illegal aliens attempting to evade capture.
While some state governors have pulled their troops off the border in political protest, Arizona’s guardsmen remain committed to the mission of keeping our southern border safe. Working with Tucson-sector agents, the mission area spans 262 linear miles and often involves remote terrain that can be impassable by truck.
