A female Airman has once again highlighted why military service and constant social media presence might not be a good thing— and it’s less about operational security and more about oversharing.
Airman First Class Phillips —who no doubt is now regretting leaving her name and rank on her uniform— recently got traction on military social media pages for a major “TMI” moment.
As part of her series known as “pros and cons of being in the military,” Phillips decided to tell the entire world about feminine hygiene product malfunction during menstruation and how it affects the uniform.
“If you bleed through your pants, you can’t tell, because you’re wearing camouflage,” she said.
The camera then shows a picture of the crotch on the Airman’s duty trousers, revealing a blood stain.
It goes without saying that the majority of those who saw the video on the “NotInRegz” Facebook page were grossed out by it, and made their discomfort very clear.
“We need to go back in time to when people wrote in diaries or said crap like this to their besties, not the entire world,” said Stacey L.P.
“I bet your parents are so proud,” said Jamie Douglas.
“Please someone show this to her superior and have her discharged,” a fourth user chimed in.
However, not everyone was against it.
“That’s so funny,” one blue-haired woman by the name of “Mercedes” wrote, adding that “Seeing all the men’s disgust is even funnier!!!”
