An Airman assigned to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, in Trenton, NJ, as arrested on child-pornography charges Wednesday.
Donovan Balthazor, 30, was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
An investigation into Belthazor’s online activities began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted the prosecutor’s office to concerns about Balthazor.
Investigators found that Balthazor had shared a photo online of a nude pre-pubescent girl after multiple digital devices were seized during a search of his home on Wednesday.
Balthazor, formerly of Tampa, FL, joined the Air Force in 2011 to conduct Aerospace Maintenance on KC-10 aircraft, according to one of his social media profiles.
He has been released since his arrest but was ordered not to have unsupervised contact with minors and was forbidden from accessing the internet. According to the Courier-Post, he is permitted to use government computers for work purposes.
