A controversial 13-second video involving a group of people talking about hunting minorities may include a woman who recently joined the US Air Force.
In another chapter of the “Snapchat isn’t private” saga, Tabbie Duncan of St. Louis was seen with friends and relatives were shown in a Snapchat video moving along a country road at night, claiming they were going “ni**er hunting.”
“Hey! So we going ni**er hunting today or what?” one man said in the video, using an exaggerated southern accent.
“We’re going ni**er hunting,” the man holding a beer responds.
“You get them ni**ers,” Duncan said.
Duncan was identified quickly, including her employment at a St.Louis-based “breastaurant” known as the Social Bar & Grill.
“Social Bar & Grill and its owners have recently become aware of a vile, disgusting, and offensive video made by one of its employees,” the risque eatery said Monday, in a statement obtained by CBS Local. “Upon learning of this, Social Bar & Grill immediately terminated this employee as soon as they could reach her!”
A screenshot from a relative’s social media page surfaced, allegedly showing Duncan swearing into the US Air Force on May 31.
“So Tabbie Duncan did a thing today,” the relative wrote. “Welcome to the United States Air Force!”
The USAF Recruiting Facebook page released a series of statements in response to the flooding of their page with social outrage.
“We have been made aware of a video online of an alleged reserve Airman who made racially insensitive comments,” the page wrote. “We are looking into the matter and we appreciate this being brought to our attention. The U.S. Air Force values diversity and inclusion; our Airmen come together to produce an incredible team that can accomplish any mission and overcome any challenge. We believe that our greatest asset is our diverse, innovative and technically-savvy workforce. Our Airmen come from all backgrounds and remarks such as these do not fall in line with our culture. We take incidents like this very seriously and action will be taken upon further investigation as necessary.”
