“Blacking out” is an issue for many airmen- but rarely on the ground.
However, such was the case for Major General James Martin Jr, who fainted during a Pentagon budget briefing this week.
Martin is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, stationed at the Pentagon.
According to NBC, Martin was ill with the flu or a cold during the briefing when he appeared to pass out.
Several personnel came to the General’s aid and helped him sit down. He later walked out on his own and is said to be fine, though he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Assistant Air Force Secretary Carolyn Gleason finished the briefing without him.
