A Laredo Marine was among the U.S. service members killed in deadly Islamic State attack outside a Kabul Airport in Afghanistan, a source confirmed to the Laredo Morning Times.

LMT has confirmed that Laredoan David Espinoza was one of the 13 U.S. Service members killed in the attack. Additionally, at least 60 Afghans died in the bombing attacks, the Pentagon stated.

The source confirmed the news but declined to comment further pending notification of the families of the deceased. The Department of Defense has not yet released the names of the deceased.
