Soldier who was allegedly killed by her dependent husband laid to rest


The 24-year-old Army Specialist who the FBI says was killed by her husband was laid to rest on Monday.

Funeral services for Iris Armstrong were held at the First NE Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina on Monday.

According to the FBI, Iris was killed by her 27-year-old husband, Jason Earl Armstrong Jr., on July 1st in their home at Fort Bragg.

Armstrong grew up in Columbia, attending Richland Northeast High School before going through basic training at Fort Jackson, according to WFMY.
